Yet, Nikopol is a city of unyielding people. It continues to live and welcome those forced to flee their homes and territories where active hostilities are taking place. Furthermore, caring individuals, communities, NGOs, and foundations continue to provide free charitable assistance to the city.
Throughout the summer, the NGO "Khart" (Hart) implemented a project titled "Equipping shelters to improve the living conditions of internally displaced persons and war-affected individuals" at a dormitory shelter housing Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). This initiative was carried out within the framework of the "Together We Are Shelter" Program, implemented by the East Europe Foundation with the support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund – OCHA.
Many children reside in this shelter, and charitable foundations strive to provide these young Ukrainians with a respite from the harsh realities of wartime. On the eve of the new school year, as part of the grant program, benefactors helped purchase 10 desks for students so they could study in comfort. For the youngest residents, a modern playroom was set up, complete with a ball pit, soft bean bags, building sets, and more.
We thank the international organizations for their support, which is so vital for a happy childhood!
