As part of our project, students are participating in a comprehensive mine safety course. In today's wartime context, this knowledge is absolutely critical, helping children recognize hazardous objects, learn the correct protocol upon discovering them, and avoid potential risks.

The sessions are conducted directly in schools to ensure that as many students as possible gain these essential safety skills. We firmly believe that awareness saves lives, which is why we continue our work to keep our children protected and prepared for today's challenges.

This course was conducted under the project "Providing Secondary Education Institutions with Necessary Equipment and Knowledge for Emergencies Related to Military Aggression in Frontline Communities of Ukraine." It is implemented as part of the broader "Empowering War-Affected Communities in Ukraine through Local Initiatives" (EMPOWER) project, which is co-funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union, and implemented by GIZ Ukraine.
